The versatility of minivan @ MPV for being able to carry more people and load as compared to saloon cars has always compromise it performance, at least during early years. Hence, in 1990's some smart dude in Renault thought that it would be wonderful if they could have their best selling Espace (J63 body reinforced with lightweight carbon fibre instead of the glass fiber of the standard model), retrofitted with a 800hp V10 motor...derrived straight from their F1 machine!
The Renault-Williams engine powered it from 0-200 km/h in 6 seconds, and helped by the carbon brakes, it did 0-270 km/h and back to 0 in under 600 meters
Unfortunately, this monster being developed only as a concept car, as to commemorate 10 year anniversary of the Espace and Renault's involvement in Formula One racing.
